Mie began with a simple frustration: real, ceremonial-grade matcha was almost impossible to find in Pakistan. What was sold as matcha was too often dull and bitter, a long way from the vivid green bowl we had fallen in love with. So we went to the source.

From certified Japanese farms

We source our matcha from JAS & FSSC certified farms in Yame, Japan, one of the country’s most respected growing regions. Our leaves are shade-grown and stone-ground from the first harvest of the season, when flavour and colour are at their peak. Every batch is traceable from field to tin.

There is a quiet ritual in whisking a bowl each morning, a few minutes that are entirely yours. We want to make that ritual authentic and accessible, without compromise on quality.
